Out the corner of my eye I spied a very familiar yellowing label. It can’t be I thought, but it was – a bottle of Clos la Coutale. I have spent many holidays in this area of France and Cahors wine is generally not well known even in the UK. It brought a smile to my face and warmth to my heart later that evening. Thank you.
Only one suggestion, if you like this try my favourite Cahors wine – Château de Haute-Serre.

I found a bottle here in DC a few months ago, but have not been able to find any since then. BUY A CASE of this and put it away for the winter, people!
