Nice, light and a bit floral. A great value wine. Will work well with the carbonara I plan to make tomorrow.

Yesterday we opened a bottle of the 2008 MF Pinot Blanc while nordic skiing at Royal Gorge. Wow. Tastes like sunshine! Not sure if it was only the wine or if the Sierra snow enhanced the experience. But I had anticipated the depth of this Alsatian white would play well in the snow. I was right! Another good value.

Looking forward to trying the savennieres this week, too. Wondering if I buy some to cellar.
